From recommendations on our phones to tools that draft text and analyse data, AI is no longer futuristic — it is everyday. AI can save time, personalise education, improve healthcare diagnosis, and help businesses serve customers faster. Used well, it amplifies human capability. But AI also raises important questions: privacy, bias, job shifts, and over-reliance on machines for thinking. The smartest approach is not fear or blind excitement — it is literacy. We should understand what AI can do, what it cannot do, and when a human judgment is essential. As students and professionals, our task is to use AI as a collaborator: to research faster, practise skills, and solve problems — while keeping ethics, creativity, and accountability our own.
